Amazing food! We went there around 13:00 on a Thursday. The place was completely empty and it felt strange, but we decided to go through with it since we wanted indian food. And we were so happy with our decision! It was definitely the best indian food we ever had. The naan bread was incredible, almost the best thing we had, eclipsed by the lamb and pumpkin curry (just so many layers of rich flavours). The biryani rice was also great. We ate so much more than needed just because we wanted to keep tasting its flavours. And it was a lot of food for a very decent price. I'm sure I'll never find as good indian food back home, in Brazil.

By the far the best restaurant we have been to. Fantastic authentic flavours and a nice setting, staff were super friendly and we met the lovely owner. Chicken tikka biryani , lamb Karai, shahi chicken bhuna, medium size plain Nan and the Karai came with complimentary rice & we even got a tarka dall. Not a single thing was not 5 stars here. Smells, Tastes, Atmosphere, Staff. The fact you have a hot plate in front of you to keep everything warm. Fantastic and the service was immaculate. Swindon you are lucky to have this place on your doorstep.

Had a walk to find somewhere to eat while staying in the area and stumbled across The Jewel in the Crown. It has to be one of the best Indian meals I've ever had. I can't tell you how good it was in a review, but I would recommend you to try for yourself. The staff are all really friendly and can't do enough to make sure you're having a nice time. Even the owner came over to tell us how he started the business and about all the awards it has won. I know I will be back when I am in the area.

We visited for the first time recently and I have to say the experience was fantastic. Good tasting food, supplemented by excellent customer service. Although it was very busy, it seemed everything was under control.

I have eaten at the jewel in the crown several times, I have always found the staff attentive and friendly. The restaurant has been here for a long time and you can see why it has always been busy. It serves great food and a good atmosphere at a reasonable price. The decor is traditional Indian with a touch of class and tradition. It is a huge restaurant and has tables and seating for any occasion. The food portions are an ample size, taste and quality are of very good standards. No wonder this restaurant has lasted so well.

We've been going to Jewel in the Crown for a good few years now. The staff are just lovely, so welcoming, friendly, and always willing to help. The food is fantastic too; you can taste that it's all made fresh, and it's absolutely packed with flavour. It's definitely a place I recommend.
